I thrive in helping Organizations and Businesses develop and execute strategies to leverage Social Media, Social Networks - and specifically Social Data - to:
● Boost core measurable.
● Circumvent traditional media/political framing.
● Leverage competitors and aligned organizations.
● Empower, inform, and mobilize their base.
● Increase support for products or movements.
● Increase broadcast reach.
● Increase public awareness.
● Understand customers and members in 1:1 relationships.
● Build organic advocacy.
● Find and communicate with new markets.
● Engage customers and base.
The reality is that traditional ways of broadcasting and communicating in Canada are losing ground. People are cutting their cable subscriptions, giving up home telephones, and leaving newspapers in their stands. Traditionally phone calls and TV/Newspaper ad buys is how organizations have communicate with their members, customers, and base. Those channels are quickly eroding.
Canadians are, however, accessing the internet more frequently and longer than ever, engaging in social media daily, and using their smartphones to communicate, consume content, and engage with organizations. Organizations are at a point now where a Digital Strategy is no longer “something we should do” - it is something they have to do, as it is slowly becoming the only place that people can be communicated and engaged with.
My focus in working with organizations is on real, traditional results, not buzzword intangibles such as “how many likes/retweets did we get”. Social Media usually involves a lot of flash and seemingly unavailing noise - but there is real substance in the data generated behind the scenes, and real tools that can help an organization communicate to more people, influence public opinion, recruit and develop passionate individuals, and motivate and mobilize them both online, and offline.
